Umgeni Water awarded Eigenbau the contract to supply, deliver, and replenish the required filter sand for the Midmar Water Treatment Plant’s 12 filter beds. Due to concurrent projects already underway, and to minimise any disturbance in plant operation, a project schedule of only 3 months was allowed for, and was achieved.

A total of 700 tons was successfully delivered and replenished making use of local contractors, suppliers, and transportation companies.
